Neighborhood Has The Perfect Response To The Racist Woman Who Called The Cops On A Black Family BBQing

When it comes to clap-backs, some are so epic that we have to share them in all of their beauty.

On April 29th, an unidentified white woman thought it was appropriate to call the cops on a black family in Oakland, California for BBQing in the park. Her excuse was that they were using a “charcoal grill” in an area that it was “illegal to do so.” She claimed that she was trying to prevent “children from being hurt” due to this incident, but it clearly seemed like an act of sheer racism and ignorance.

The video ended with the woman changing her state of mind claiming the videographer was “harassing her.”

After the video and incident went viral online, many people spoke out on social media and in the press about the blatant disrespect and abuse of police officers and “wasting their time.” Oakland City Councilmember Lynette Gibson McElhaney told The Huffington Post that the incident was “blatant racism.”

“Police are not private security for any white person that’s offended by the presence of black folks in our public spaces.

In retaliation, the Oakland residents have found a way to make the situation a better one by having a giant cook-out in the same park where the horrifying event took place. Many posted on social media to show how many people came out to support their community and showcase that they have zero time for racism.

This how we feel about mad ass Oakland gentrifiers
