“Game of Thrones” fans are anxiously counting down the days until April 2019 when the series they’ve come to know and love will finally end.
While Season 7 was filled with plot twist after plot twist, we know that the writers, showrunners, and directors will not disappoint us by giving us a horrible ending. In fact, everyone who is a fan of the HBO hit series knows–deep down inside–we’re in for a wild ride. The cast and crew are currently wrapping up the final series and making last edits and cuts. According to Liam Cunningham, who plays Davos Seaworth, said:
We’re filming right up until the summer. When you think about it, up until last season we’d have six months to do 10 episodes, so we’re [doing] way more than that for six episodes.
Emilia Clarke also revealed in a recent interview with Vanity Fair that the ending really took her by surprise.
There’s still a lot of filming and post-production work to be done, but Clarke has already shot her character’s final on-screen moments. “It fucked me up,” she says. “Knowing that is going to be a lasting flavor in someone’s mouth of what Daenerys is . . .”
While many of the actors claim they’re still not 100% sure how the finale will truly end because showrunners are filming multiple endings, fans are pretty upset with Sophie Turner after her tattoo artist shared a photo of the new ink she got this week.
Artist Lauren Winzer posted the Stark-inspired tattoo on Instagram saying:
And, a photo of the tat, as well.
Many people online were questioning whether or not this had to do with the final season of “Game of Thrones.” The seventh season ended with us wondering where the Starks would truly end up–now that the remaining Starks are reunited where they belong; at home. If Sophie Turner decided to get this due to the final season is unclear, but fans were thinking it was.
However, many pointed out that the text is part of a longer quote that Ned Stark tells his children in season one, and Sansa repeats in season seven.
