Fall is almost here, which means freshmen everywhere are excited to start their high school experience. They’re sharpening their pencils, getting together their first day of school looks, texting their BFFs, and fighting the butterflies in their stomach every time they think about who they’ll be sitting with in the cafeteria. It’s such a hopeful time.
But it doesn’t last.
Also anticipating the beginning of school are the seniors, who have one more year to hack it through to freedom. Or at least to college, where they’ll start the cycle of hope all over again. Senior year of high school is so brutal, because it’s the last long push towards starting adulthood. You’re not a grown up by a long shot, but you still have an enormous amount of responsibility, like getting into another school that will suck the life out of you.
At least there are these tweets to laugh and cry to:
How to spot a college freshman vs a senior:
Freshmen don’t look like they just rolled out of bed and came to class.
A senior does.

Freshman vs senior year:
Pick an outfit day before, check all your classes, wake up early to get ready
Get home at 8 am, check your schedule the morning of classes

Freshman year: prints schedule, finds classes a week in advance, and puts on a new outfit for their first day
Senior: Throws phone out of anger when alarm goes off, hasn’t even see where there Class is, and wears jeans that have a stain from taco Tuesday last week
